Marks of Conformity

Component Manufacturing Numbering System

Each manufacturing plant certified under the WTCCC is issued a plant number. The plant number is to be stamped as a mark of conformity on trusses and used by the plant on documentation to indicate their certification.

The plant numbers are assigned by the RAO's and are specific to their region/s.

Each plant site location is issued a plant number. If a company has 2 or more locations each is certified individually
Once a plant obtains their initial certification, they are issued a plant number by the RAO.
If a plant ceases to exists or does not retain certification the plant number is retired, and not re-issued.
If the plant loses certification and then re-certifies it is issued the same plant number that they had previously.
If the ownership of a plant changes, but the name of the plant remains the same and the quality management system remains in place it shall retain the same plant number.
If the ownership of the plant changes and the name changes a new plant number is issued.
If the number of plants in a region exceeds the available numbers, new plant numbers will be issued by adding 1000. For example, if all available numbers are used in Alberta the next plant will be number 1200.
